Macular degeneration, monitored closely
The Nu-Sight macular degeneration clinic in Aylesbury uses regular examinations and scans to observe your eye health and discover changes as early as we can.
What is macular degeneration?
Macular degeneration (AMD) is typically an age-related condition that occurs later in life. However, less common types can occur at any age. There are two main types: wet AMD and dry AMD. Wet AMD can be more serious due to its sudden onset. Dry AMD is more commonly associated with age and its development is slower.
In both cases, the central part of the eye deteriorates, which results in loss of vision. Our specialists will discuss the condition with you and talk you through possible treatments or lifestyle changes that may help.

Who is it for?
- People noticing blurry vision or gaps in their vision
- Anyone seeing objects change size, shape or colour
- People noticing dark spots, or words disappearing when reading
- Older patients who want their macula monitored regularly
